DCC handles matters related to Consultancy, Intellectual Property and Commercialisation of Intellectual Property.
Since its inception in 2002, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) has envisioned to be a leading provider and premier university for research and development works. The University recognises the potential of consultancies to develop and maintain the skills amongst academics and enable the University to contribute to industry and the wider community.
In order for the University to fulfil this function, the University has encouraged consultancy work among staff via the Department of Consultancy and Commercialisation (DCC). Established in 2008, DCC aims to be a catalyst for consultancy opportunities by establishing itself as a one-stop centre in providing information and resources, and assisting University staff in the provision of consultancy services, knowledge transfer and commercialisation activities.
To promote the spirit of innovation and enterprise in research across faculties.
